I have been looking for something to inspire me, to really create when it comes to my photography. I think I have found just that! I was just searching around for different blogs and I found this wonderful one! She is an artist! Her photographs really speak to me and I love the way that she has finished her photos. Very elegant :)

The Blessing of Great-Grandparents

I have been feeling that it is such a blessing to have grandparents and great grandparents in our lives and in our children's lives. We live in a world where people wait so long to have children that when they finally have their children (if any), the grandparents are elderly and the great-grandparents have passed on. I am glad that my children get to know their grandparents and great-grandparents while they are still here on this earth.

I love watching my children interact with my parents. Wrestling with my dad, and tickle-fighting with my mom. They are just ecstatic when Grandma, and Grandpa show up.

I have recently had the opportunity to take my children to see their Great-Grandpa and their Great-Grandma. It was a long drive and the only thing that kept everyone's sanity was the DVD player in the van.

When I introduced my sons to their Great-Grandpa (my mom's dad), he asked them if they had lost any teeth yet. My oldest replied that he hadn't yet. Well, Great-Grandpa then said, "I have" and then proceeded to pop his bottom dentures out!!! I thought it was going to scar my kids for life, but they all had a really good laugh and then my youngest wanted to see Great-Grandpa do it again! Typical boy....

We then went to Great-Grandma's house (my dad's mom). She always has had candy and pop at her house since before I can remember. So what is the first thing she asks my boys?....... If they would like a pop! HAHAHAHA Same old Grandma :)

We had a wonderful time and got to see many relatives that I haven't seen in a very long time I love to get generation pictures any time I can so I took some this time around as well. Neither Great-Grandparent had met the new baby so we had to get some pictures of them together as well.

I'm glad that I still have some of my grandparents around to learn from.

P.S. My kids still laugh about great-grandpa "popping out his teeth!" HAHAHAHAHA
It's the memories that count.

my ever procrastinating self!

I started a photography course two years ago. They gave me three years to finish it and in the beginning I was sure I would finish it easily in 1 year. Man, was I wrong, or what! I have been procrastinating so badly because my house needs to be cleaned, or the baby is cranky or I'm cranky. :) I am 2/3 the way through the course and just need to light that fire underneath myself again. I WILL GET THROUGH THIS!!! (I have to keep telling myself that)

I think that the last two units kind of scare me so I am a little worried about starting them. One is Architectural Photography and the other is Advertising Photography. I think I need to get over my phobia of what I am going to do wrong before I do it, and just get to it! So, If you see me around and I don't have a camera in my hand, give me "The Look" (all you moms will know what I am talking about) and it will remind me. I have until May 2012 to finish. Wish me luck! :)

I have really been neglecting my blog lately. I should probably catch everyone up on my "exciting" life. LOL I had a scare last year with a tubal pregnancy, which I had to have surgery for, and they said that it would be much more difficult to get pregnant again.... HAHAHAHAHA! I was pregnant again two months later. I had a baby on April 13 2011, and surprise!!!! It's a girl! I am so happy to have my little girl. She is such a blessing in our lives.

Two days after I had the baby, it was my son, T's b-day so I made him the cake he had been asking for since his last birthday.

I have been trying to think of different things that I can do from home so I don't have to have my dayhome anymore. It is almost impossible to live off of one income these days. I don't know how some people do it. I have really been enjoying my photography, but it is more of a hobby, than a job. I did a wedding just before I had the baby so here are a few shots that I feel are some of my best work. :)

Anyone want a two year old?????

.....Don't get me wrong, I love my children but the fact is that my two year old is driving me right up the wall!!!! He is soooo different from my first and I love him for that. I was so blessed with my first and he was the perfect baby and toddler. When you told him to not touch something, he wouldn't touch it. He did have his days when "the beast would emerge" but they were few and far between. And he took only a month to potty train.

When you tell T to not touch something, he gives you this look like, "seriously, now I just have to touch it!!" Sometimes I can handle it and he makes me laugh, and then there are those days that you have no patience to begin with and a crying, tantruming two year old doesn't help the situation any, and you just EXPLODE!!!!!!!!

I know it is just one of "those days" but I really wish I could start the day over because I love to cuddle him and have some play time but I have been trying to get the housework done and the kids keep getting under foot. I think I need to just worry about the house work later and play with my kids. Maybe it will get me in a better mood :) That is my resolution for June; to worry more about my kids than my housework. Wish me Luck!
