Some of my Favorites :)

I went through the photos that I have taken in the last few years and picked a few of my favorites that I sent in to my course.  I though I would share them and see what people think of them.

Depth of field

the difference between this and the one below is adding a subject
to a landscape to give it a different feeling

Rule of Thirds and proper exposure

stopping the motion with the right shutter speed
both of these are
showing the motion with the right shutter speed, but also getting the right exposure

traditional landscape

framing the landscape

correct exposure in sunlight

framing my subject, using leading lines as well

one that I feel should be used as an old lady puzzle! LOL

Just the flowers would have been an "ok" shot, but when I added
my family, it made it more interesting.

Unit 6!!!!!!!!

I have been working on a photography course for the last 3 YEARS, and I am finally done! I am so excited to have my efforts rewarded by getting my diploma and starting my business. I have had one more baby since I started this course. I thought that it would be almost impossible to finish with three kids in tow, but I had a goal, I kept at it, and now Iam done! And I couldn't be more happy :) Here are some of the photos that I have submitted :) I hope you enjoy. I would love to hear what you think :)

These are the photographs that I submitted for framing your subject.

This photo is using leading lines to give attention to my subject.

This is using Depth of Field to draw attention to my subject

Using slow shutter speed to get the right exposure for a moving object.

This is my first official rule of thirds picture. My subject is in the first third of the picture.

These are just a few of the pictures that I submitted for my course. Maybe I will post some more later :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Our Caribbean Cruise 2010!!

I like the cruise but didn't love the cruise. I think I am more of an all-inclusive resort type of person. I felt really rushed while on the shore mostly because we couldn't really see it all. We had to rush back on the boat so they didn't leave us behind. I didn't see as much of Key West and Grand Cayman as I would have liked to. BUT.....we did get to go Kayaking in Key West, which was awesome!!! We also went snorkeling in Grand Cayman. Here are so pics from our experience. :)

the mangrove trees were enormous!!

In Miami and then onto the boat

I feel so blessed to have been in the right place at the right time for this picture

Our nature kayaking trip was a blast. I got soaked but it was a blast! Thank goodness for underwater camera cases.
